William (Tres) Petmecky

Tres is the Chief Financial Officer of Cypress Creek Renewables. In this role, he is responsible for the overall planning and management of the company’s financial affairs. Prior to Cypress Creek, Tres was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Southern California Edison (SCE), responsible for the utility company’s financial management and fiscal integrity. Previously, he has held roles such as vice president and treasurer of SCE, responsible for the financial operations of the utility and vice president and treasurer at Edison Mission Energy, a competitive power generation business that was a subsidiary of Edison International. Before joining the Edison family of companies, Tres was a consultant in the public utility industries services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC. Tres is also the chair of the board of directors at Methodist Hospital of Southern California and was previously the chair of the Methodist Hospital Foundation Board. He serves on the board of directors of the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens and the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles. Prior to its acquisition by California American Water Company, Tres was on the board of directors of East Pasadena Water Company, an investor-owned water utility regulated by the California Public Utilities Commission. Tres graduated from Southern Methodist University with bachelor’s degrees in physics and economics. He earned an MBA from the University of Southern California.
